1. About Visibly Her CIC

These Terms of Use govern your use of this website and participation in services provided by Visibly Her CIC, a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16926961).

Visibly Her CIC provides peer support groups, 1:1 coaching and support, workshops, and wellbeing resources for women living with chronic illness. We are a not-for-profit organisation. Any surplus we generate is reinvested directly into the community we serve.

By using this website or accessing any of our services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our Services Are Not Clinical Care

Visibly Her CIC is a peer support and community wellbeing organisation. Our services are not a substitute for medical, clinical, or therapeutic care.

Participation in our peer support groups, 1:1 sessions, workshops, or retreats does not constitute entry into a clinical or therapeutic relationship. The information and resources on this website are for general informational and self-reflective purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Our services are designed for women who are not currently in acute clinical crisis. If you are experiencing a health emergency, please call 999. For urgent mental health support, please call the Samaritans on 116 123 or NHS 111.

By accessing our services, you confirm that you understand and accept this distinction.

3. Who Our Services Are For

Visibly Her CIC services are open to women living with chronic illness aged 18 and over. We particularly welcome women who are not in employment due to ill health or disability, or who are on low incomes, though our groups are open to all women with chronic illness.

We reserve the right to decline or end participation where we believe our services are not appropriate for a person's needs, or where participation poses a risk to themselves or others. In such cases we will endeavour to signpost appropriate alternative support.

4. Peer Support Groups

Attendance
Our peer support groups are facilitated spaces, not clinical or therapeutic groups. They are spaces for connection, shared experience, and community. No referral is required to attend.

Group agreements
All participants are asked to respect the confidentiality of other group members. What is shared in the group stays in the group. We ask all participants to engage respectfully and to support a safe environment for everyone present.

Session availability
As our facilitators also live with chronic illness, there may occasionally be times when a session does not run due to health or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always notify registered participants as early as possible.

Free to attend
Our weekly peer support groups are free to attend. Some workshops, retreats, and 1:1 services may carry a charge. Where a discount is available for women on low incomes, this will be clearly stated.

5. 1:1 Coaching and Support

Where 1:1 coaching and support sessions are available, these are led by the founder or a trained associate. Sessions are offered to women who are not in work or who are on a low income. Please contact us to find out more about availability and any associated fees.

1:1 sessions are coaching and peer support in nature. They are not counselling or therapy. Where a participant requires clinical support, we will signpost appropriate services.

6. Fees, Payment, and Cancellation

Free services
Peer support groups and the free welcome call are provided at no charge.

Paid services
Where a service carries a fee, the fee will be clearly stated before booking. Payment is required to confirm your place.

Cancellation by you
If you need to cancel a paid booking, please notify us as soon as possible at info@visiblyher.org. Where cancellation is made more than 14 days before the event, a full refund will be issued. Where cancellation is made within 14 days of the event, we are unable to offer a refund, but we will do our best to transfer your place to a future date where possible.

We understand that chronic illness can make planning unpredictable. If you are unable to attend due to a health flare, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Cancellation by us
In the event that Visibly Her CIC needs to cancel a paid event, a full refund will be issued. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
